What it is
Delta refers to brainwave activity between roughly 0.5 and 4 Hz, most prominent during deep sleep. A 2 Hz sound cannot be heard directly, so GSS renders it as a binaural beat: a 200 Hz tone in one ear and a 202 Hz tone in the other. The 2 Hz difference is perceived as a slow pulsing.
What users may experience
Most listeners describe a slow, gentle wobble between the ears rather than a note. Headphones are required — without them the two tones mix in the air and the effect disappears.
Traditional associations
Widely used in sleep and deep-relaxation audio, where slow binaural rates are associated with winding down at night.
