What a frequency actually is
Hertz, pitch, and why 432 Hz is a number before it is anything else.
Hertz is a count, not a mood
A frequency measured in hertz (Hz) is simply how many times per second a sound wave repeats. 432 Hz means the air pressure around your ear rises and falls 432 times each second. That is the whole definition — everything else people attach to a number is interpretation.
Human hearing runs roughly from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, and the top of that range shrinks with age. The frequencies in this app sit between 50 Hz and 999 Hz, which is the region where tones are clearest and most comfortable to hold for a long session.
A pure tone versus music
